January 26, 27, 28, and 29: Please call Senator Fetterman and Senator McCormick every day and demand they stop ICE. Use the 5calls app, or find their numbers here, or call the Senate switchboard at (202) 224-3121.

Sample script: Hi, my name is [first and last name] and I’m a resident of [town and zip code] and I’m calling to ask that [senator’s name] push to defund ICE, oppose any appropriations bill that maintains ICE funding, and support legislation to claw back the $75 billion ICE slush fund created last year. This lawless agency is violently attacking and killing immigrants and citizens around the country, and must be defunded and dissolved for good. People are getting assaulted on our streets, kidnapped, and murdered in front of us. Our friends and neighbors are getting violently attacked. It’s a total violation of our Constitutional rights, and completely evil. I request you use all your power to defund and disband ICE, immediately. This week. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Note: It isn’t a bad idea to request a response (especially if you talk to a live person instead of having to leave voicemail). When requesting a response, leave your street address, phone number and/or email address.

As mentioned on the national Indivisible call this week this week, we have a critical window of time (until January 30) to call our congress members and senators and demand they rein in ICE (see the recording here).

Let's get this done this week! If you've never made the calls before (or even if you have), there is a step by step guide here at this link.  Then we can discuss how it's going at our meeting next Sunday – please sign up here.

This is a great opportunity to have an impact on the next ICE funding bill and reduce the harm they are causing to our communities.

On January 9 we gathered in deep distress, sadness and mourning, to honor the life of Renee Nicole Good, an American woman killed by ICE agents minutes after dropping off her 6-year-old son at school on Wednesday, and to honor the lives of all the victims of ICE.

And while we mourn, we must also organize.  Please sign up and join us at our 2026 Kickoff meeting next weekend.

And can you make a donation to Indivisible Poconos?
We could use a better PA / sound system for our rallies and events, and expenses can add up - permits, insurance, stage rental, and more.  Every little bit helps - and thanks for your support!

2026 Kickoff meeting, January 25 - Please RSVP

Hello 2026! – More actions we can take right here in the Poconos:

No Contract – No Coffee! Starbucks is the biggest violator of labor law in modern US history.

We have the unique opportunity to picket and protest at two highly visible locations, right on Main Street in Stroudsburg:  Citizens Bank (814 Main) and Starbucks (745 Main).

Citizens Bank
says it's dedicated to fostering strong communities, but hasn't cut ties with CoreCivic and The GEO Group. Join us to demand that Citizens Bank stop financing private prisons.
